The Vanderbilt Commodores football team ended a historic regular season emphatically this past Saturday by traveling to Knoxville and beating archrival Tennessee 45-24.
The season likely won’t end with coach Clark Lea’s team in the College Football Playoff, but it’s still one filled with several firsts. Those include Vandy’s first 10-win regular season and six-win conference slate.
One last time this season, we at BetTennessee.com have updated our exclusive odds on where the Commodores will go bowling. As a reminder, these odds are for infotainment purposes only and are not available at any licensed Tennessee sports betting operator.

Even with Saturday’s huge win over the Vols, BetMGM Sportsbook Tennessee now lists the Commodores playoff odds at +5000. That equates to a less than 2% chance of making the 12-team field. With that, we have removed the playoffs as a listed choice. It is now lumped with the other bowl games in the field.
While we previously slotted Vandy to the Music City Bowl, we have now moved the Duke’s Mayo and Gator bowls ahead of it. Any of those games should produce an exciting matchup, one that’s likely to see the Commodores favored to notch a historic 11th win and give Vandy fans hope for more heading into next season.

More History For Vandy?
The Commodores almost certainly will not win a national title this season, but they could see one of their players win something nearly as big.
With less than two weeks before the winner is announced, DraftKings Tennessee Sportsbook has Vandy quarterback Diego Pavia as its third choice on the Heisman Trophy futures board. Pavia, who has thrown for a school-record 3,192 yards this season and ran for a career-high 165 against Tennessee, has odds of +190 to win the national award.
Only Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza (+160) and Ohio State’s Julian Sayin (+170) have shorter odds. In fact, after those three, no one else has odds shorter than +3000.
Come back to BetTennessee.com next week, by which time we’ll know Vandy’s bowl destination, for the best Tennessee sports betting promo codes around.
