Odds at other sportsbooks, like Hard Rock Bet TN, may differ slightly.

While Memphis has had a tremendous start to the 2024 season with two blowout victories, the opposite can be said for Florida State. The Seminoles, who started the season ranked No. 10, lost an upset to Georgia Tech in Week 0 and followed that up with a loss to Boston College in Week 1. FSU quickly dropped from the rankings and is no longer even receiving votes.

What the Spread Tells Us

The spread still favors FSU despite the fact that the team has had a rough start to the season. Oddsmakers still tend to favor ACC over AAC schools, hence why Memphis is a big underdog.

What the Moneyline Tells Us

Betting on the Memphis Tigers at +205 might end up being a popular wager this week. Florida State has not been good at all in 2024, so plenty will rush to place money on the Seminoles to lose again in order to potentially earn a double payout.

Memphis Chances to Win vs. Florida State in Week 3

Memphis may have a good chance to beat Florida State in Week 3 given that the 'Noles have had such a bad start to the season. On one hand, FSU was able to earn an early Week 2 bye, allowing the team to regroup after its 0-2 start. On the other hand, one singular bye week might not necessarily fix all the issues that team has.

How the Tigers Win vs. Florida State

The Tigers' biggest strength so far this season has been their defense. They've allowed just 17 points in two games, including one shutout. They've also forced two interceptions and four fumbles, and have not allowed a passing touchdown. That, however, was against lighter competition compared to what they'll face against the Seminoles. Still, good D is good D, and Florida State's offense has not been good at all in 2024. Memphis will need to take advantage by forcing more offensive miscues and keeping the ball in the hands of its offense.

How the Seminoles Win vs. Memphis

Florida State's passing game has gone off the rails a bit, with QB D.J. Uiagalelei being one of the most disappointing parts of the offense. The offensive line has also not played well, and running back Jaylin Lucas will now miss the rest of the season. On the other side of the ball, FSU is allowing 226.5 yards per game on the ground. Needless to say, things aren't going well.

For FSU to win, it'll need to fix any offensive mistakes that were made the past couple of weeks. Meanwhile, the defense will need to key in on Memphis RB Mario Anderson, who has 198 total yards and four touchdowns in two games.
