What Were the Most Searched Terms in Tennessee for 2023?

In less than two weeks, another year will have come and gone in the Volunteer State, and we hope it's been a good one for everyone across legal Tennessee sports betting!

Leading up to the holidays, BetTennessee.com utilized Google Trends and analyzed the most searched terms in the state of Tennessee from January 1st, 2023, to December 10th, 2023. We finalized the Top 10 queries by utilizing the terms that have seen the biggest increase in search volume over the year of 2023.

Damar Hamlin Tops The List

A stunning start to the year was the most searched of 2023, as Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin was part of a moment and miracle after he suffered cardiac arrest during a Week 17 road game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Jan. 2. He topped the list (+2,850%) among searches when he had tackled wide receiver Tee Higgins and required immediate emergency medical treatment on the field. We all know what happened after that, as Hamlin and his recovery has been one of the top sports stories of the current NFL season.

Second on the list, “ChatGPT” at +1,600%. Tennesseans are all trying to understand this new technology, along with “Character AI” (4th just behind “Temu”, +1200%) and how we can implement it in our daily routines. One thing is for certain, the uncertainty is vast, and it will probably take another year to comprehend it. 

The movie “Oppenheimer”, which was released in July, rounded out the top five at +850%. The film may get a second life in early 2024 as well with the Academy Awards.

The stunning resurgence of “Colorado Football” under new head coach Deion Sanders placed sixth at +700%. “Connections” (+300%), “Israel News” (+250%), “Jimmy Buffet” (+200%) and “Taylor Swift” rounded out the top 10. Remember you can potentially boost those odds with Tennessee sports betting promos
